Sidney C. Phillips III is a native Mobilian and son of Dr. Sidney and Mary Phillips. Having graduated in 1972 from Bob Jones University with a major in Bible and a minor in New testament Greek. Sid has taught many adult classes, Bible studies ,pastored other churches and filled as pulpit supply before coming to Grace Bible in 2010. Having been under the teachings of many scholars in various denominations,Sid has a deeper understanding of what the body of Christ should look like.

He has a special love for youth, having taught 6th grade and later middle and high school students in the Accelerated Christian Education series. He is married to Janine Phillips, they have three daughters and seven grandchildren.

As the writer says in the book of Hebrews 12:2-3 , ‘fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and has set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners, against Himself, so you will not grow weary and lost heart.’ Our focus must be on Christ and His finished work on the cross! It is all about Christ.”
